So if anyone's been around here the past week or so you'll see next to nothing because photobucket is being stupid and has blocked 3rd party linking. I'm trying to figure out what to do at this point, as I have over 100 posts to fill in after rehosting my images but the biggest issue is attempting to know what went where and all that. ugh

I'm thinking of making masterposts somehow going by year maybe? Like, having the pages on tumblr so I don't run out of space in an lj post. idk, if anyone has ideas please let me know!

Ugh, Photobucket is an asshole...I know it's stupid depressing at having to reupload and recode everything. A master list is an excellent idea and tumblr is smart (and then maybe post the tumblr links in LJ?). That's a better idea than anything else I've come up with!

I'm thinking about just dumping all the icons in my old posts and not attempting to actually sort them as they were, there's just not possible way to.

I'll definitely be linking from here if I work it out!

At the end of the day I think the important thing is having them all uploaded somewhere, whether they are sorted or not. Keep us posted on what you can work out!

Photobucket has officially reached the unbelievably ridiculous stage. My only note on the Tumblr idea is, if you do make an icon page, PLEASE do not use one of the ones where the icons are like 75x75 when you look at them? Most of the icon pages currently circulating on Tumblr are SO HARD to see, it makes it impossible to see all the detail and awesomeness that the icon maker has put into their work.

haha yeah, I didn't think they could sink lower, but they did! >_> lol Thank god their 'download album' is still available. I'm saving everything, backing up twice and deleting my accounts. This is ridiculous and I'm not going to help keep them in business anymore.

I rarely look at icons on tumblr so I didn't know that was a thing to do, but just thinking about it annoys me lol I certainly wouldn't do that!

oh wow, I haven't used pb in 2-3 years I didn't know they could get any more ridiculous than this.

The year pages sound good, if you don't feel like uploading everything you can just upload your top favorites for every year.
And I agree with the comment above, if you use tumblr pages please use the 100px option.

haha yeah, apparently amazon and ebay are having issues as well, which is pretty funny for such huge websites you would think they'd have their own image hosting severs unless it's outside people using it?

Oh that's a good idea; only doing some per year especially of my really old icons sounds better than every single one since I made so many back then lol

I have no suggestions but I'll keep checking back. I had used less than 10% of available space for a free account and hardly hotlinked anything of what I did store. Doesn't matter. They didn't distinguish between heavy users and light. All of my custom journal styles for like, six or seven communities are broken now.
