I chose to do 10 high contrast and 10 low contrast icons for this round. Many of these - mainly the high contrast ones - are a mess. I just wasn't getting anything to turn out right this time. So if anything looks..odd, awful, or just boring believe me, I know. D:
There isn't as much texture use in these like I normally do..which I think is why I think they're boring or lacking in something. Everything just looked like crap so I just said to hell with it, let's color and that's what I did. So if you're on of those people who like minimalism in icons this is your post!

Date: 2014-10-21 02:42 am (UTC)I think my favorites are probably: #1 for the intense color contrasts because they are so eye catching! #3 because CIRCLES! But also because the composition is so great and the coloring is super pretty! #5 and the alt because what fantastic texture use, and the intense magenta tones are great! #7 for the intense coloring, again. I love how the blue just shines in this one!
#11 for the lighting work, for sure. #14 and #15 for the cropping and also all the 12/Clara feels, damn you. What cuties! #16 is also incredible! Love the texture work here as well. Intricate and complex without being too in your face about it! I also love the blending in #19 and the cropping in #20.
But my absolute favorite is #18 because, wow, it just grips me. The soft intensity of the crop, the smoothness of her skin combined with the sharpening, the muted colors that are light yet dark somehow, and just...yeah. Love this one!
Great job, truly! <3
