I think this is definitely the year of icon challenges. I've been doing them left and right and did some battles as well! Oh and I plan on hosting a battle myself next year that is hopefully going to be pretty huge (because who doesn't like a challenge? :D). I've got some ideas I'm thinking about that I hope I can pull off. We'll see how it goes!

I feel that I've really improved this year in many ways. What I like best is my coloring, I love working with bright colors as you will see in the post I used them a lot. So I'm really pleased with that. I think I've done fairly well with complex icons. Not as well as I would like but it's much better than before.

Earlier this year I discovered the thing that I think is what people hated most this year in the graphics world (on tumblr and lj); TOPAZ. :D Annnd like a kid with a new toy I used it on EVERYTHING. Some are pretty bad but it's a very useful tool and now that I've learned how to use it well, it's very valuable and I love it. So yeah there are some cringe worthy icons from earlier this year but I chalk it up to the learning experience! :P
